hey bros i found this question online, "if three sets of 400 Kcmil copper service conductors are paralleled in three raceways, what's the minimum size grounding electrode conductor required?" can somebody please let me know how to solve this question , the answer is 3/0 AWG , but I wanna know hot to solve it or the steps , thank you
This is simple, since they are parallel you take just one of the phases (400 kcmil CU) x 3 = 1,200 kcmil. Now, go to Table 250.66 and notice that 1,200 kcmil and greater is just 3/0 AWG CU or 250 kcmil AL.
Thanks Paul see you tomorrow be safe ,
