Energy Codes require controlled receptacles in offices, break rooms, etc My designs include black receptacles with a lamicoid label with CR for controlled receptacle. However clients are always plugging the equipment that needs to stay on ( PCs, personal mini fridges, etc) into the controlled receptacles! Anyone know of any nifty products that circumvent this issue, maybe some sort of audible alert that the item is connected to a controlled receptacle, or perhaps something that is able to understand arc signatures similar to Afci breakers so you can’t plug a fridge into the receptacle ( ok maybe this ones a little far fetched)
Sadly, I am not aware of any aftermarket product like you're asking about. As the design engineer you could stipulate a cover with wording to the effect of "No PC's or Appliances Allowed" and demand they label the coverplate with this language. At the end of the day you can't stop fools from being fools...you can only mitigate the aftermath.
Lol agreed!
